Richard J. Fateman Richard J. Fateman received a B.S. degree in Physics from Union College, Schenectady, NY in 1966, and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard in 1971. His thesis involved aspects of the Macsyma computer algebra system. He taught mathematics at MIT from 1971-73, and is currently a Professor of Computer Science at the University of California at Berkeley. His research and teaching interests include scientific programming environments, computer algebra algorithms, compilers and programming languages, OCR, document structure analysis. Andrei D. Polyanin A. D. Polyanin graduated from the Department of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Moscow State University in 1974. Since 1975, he has been a member of the staff of the Institute for Problems in Mechanics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where he received his Ph.D. degree in 1981 and D.Sc. degree in 1986.
Professor Polyanin is an author of over 30 books in English, Russian, German, and Bulgarian, as well as more than 120 research papers and three patents. He has written a number of fundamental handbooks, including A.D. Polyanin and V.F. Zaitsev, Handbook of Exact Solutions for Ordinary Differential Equations, CRC Press, 1995 and 2003; A.D. Polyanin and A.V. Manzhirov, Handbook of Integral Equations, CRC Press, 1998; A.D. In 1991, A.D. Polyanin was awarded a Chaplygin Prize of the Russian Academy of Sciences for his research in mechanics. In 2001, he received an award from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
Daniel Zwillinger Daniel Zwillinger received a B.S. degree in Mathematics from MIT in 1978 and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Caltech in 1983.
